Heyo. Just two little scenes left--I'm hoping to have the new chapter up by the end of the week. (Upside of the summer: My second job's hours are fewer, which means more writing time! Downside of the summer: I end up going out of town almost every weekend, which means far less writing time. Here's hoping I get it all balanced out.)

In any case, I'm maybe... 2/3 of the way done at 4500ish words (most chapters are around this length when finished, soooo). I'm shooting for a post date of Thursday or Friday; I've got the difficult bits out of the way, so. I hope.

Oh my stars and garters, I'm writing it right now, really, and I'm not going to stop until I have the draft completely done.

Finished the draft! Will go over it a bit more tonight to make sure I didn't spell "Legilimize" 18 different ways and then off it goes to my beta. I'll absolutely have it posted on Thursday, probably fairly early in the day. Yay!

I really need to stop lying to you.

But really. As it turns out, prison scenes take longer to write than I'd thought (who knew!). I'm about 3/4 of the way finished with this chapter; I hope to have it up by Thursday.

Revising the story outline took more time than I'd expected (which was silly, as it took me months to get the thing onto paper...or, rather, into a computer...in the first place). So a) Chapter 14 will post by Thursday, not today, and b) I want to, but will not, remain in happy Severus-loves-Lily-and-the-war's-not-full-on-yet land for very long. ( Read more... )

Chapter 13 is written and is now only awaiting my beta reader to wake up and read it (lazy! of course, I skipped out on my run this morning to finish the chapter, so...).

It'll post either tonight or tomorrow morning, depending on when we get back from his grandmother's.

The new chapter (Hogsmeade weekend zomg) is outlined and the epistolary sections are written and it's a doozy, my friends. Very much looking forward to more working on it. It probably won't post tomorrow, but probably WILL post Thursday (possibly Friday, hopefully Thursday).
